THE RAINBOW PARTY IS BACK FOR 2024!
The scariest thing for an oncology family is asking the question, ‘Can we afford to care for our sick child?’. Time without your other children, not prioritising your own health, making impossibly tough decisions and not knowing if that has prolonged your child’s life or shortened it. Constantly searching for rainbows through the storm and often faced with financial, emotional, and physical stresses. It is the reason why Win the Day exists.
Our signature DARE TO BE RARE GALA hopes to not only continue to raise awareness of what we are doing, but bring together our most loyal supporters and partners for a night of fun, entertainment and most importantly raise funds to support our families. Boasting one-of-a-kind auction items, stunning jewellery, raffle prizes and live entertainment, Dare to be Rare is a must-attend event.
Together we can ensure that no family, particularly a rare childhood cancer family, will ever have to worry whether they can afford to care for their sick child.

OUR 2024 GALA AMBASSADOR
REINO
Reino was diagnosed with A.L.L (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia) in January 2020. A date forever etched in his family’s hearts. Packing up their lives and heading to Sydney for a 2 year intense treatment protocol left the family feeling scared and anxious.
Testing meant that Reino was placed in the high risk category requiring more intense chemotherapy, 18 months to be precise. Long days and weeks in hospital killing time with his love for music and making jokes, made his hospital stays a little bit easier. However, during this time the world also went through a pandemic which threw another spanner in the mix and a lot of uncertainty for his family.
Reino tackled the treatment like a determined champion and is in now remission. Whilst normal things are starting to be experienced by his family, they have had to navigate not living their lives in fear.
Reino’s story is one of cheekiness, laughter and many a joke being told! What he has endured and the resilience he has shown is such an inspiration to all he meets. The family cannot wait to share his story on 20 September.
OH, WHAT A NIGHT!
